Nigeria talks to investors about reviving two mothballed LNG projects
Brass and Olokola LNG schemes have been dormant since about 2012

Nigeria is planning to revive two landmark liquefied natural gas export projects that were put on the backburner a dozen years ago.
The 10 million tonnes per annum Brass LNG project in Bayelsa State was mothballed about 12 years ago before construction work began, while the Chevron-led 22 million tpa Olokola scheme — also known as OK LNG — in Ondo State also drifted out of the headlines at about the same time.
Now, two years after first suggesting they could rise from the ashes, state-owned NNPC said that in a bid to monetise Nigeria’s abundant gas resources, it has started talks with investors on the two schemes.
